Kibi dango （吉備団子, きびだんご） is a confectionery made of kibi (proso millet) and sweet rice powders. Kibi dango are the most famous souvenir of Okayama.
What is “kibi” ?
The vast area including Okayama pref. and around was once called as “Kibi no kuni”(The Country of Kibi).
A long time ago, Japan was consisted of a lot of small countries. “Kibi” was one of that small countries.
