Manju (饅頭) is a popular traditional Japanese confection.
There are many kind of manju. The outside of manju is made from flour, rice powder and buckwheat.
The inside of manju is filling anko (red bean paste), made from boiled azuki beans and sugar.
There are several kinf of bean paste used including koshian, tsubuan, and tsubushian.
